" I think sometimes, people can see the creative industry as a waste of money, but, I really think that creating beautiful things is an art, and can make people feel really special. "

Gabrielle is an amazing woman! She has a beautiful heart for the world around her. She also has an eye for detail and making things look beautiful too. We asked Gabrielle a few questions so you can get to know her and see just how incredible she is!

Tell us a bit about yourself!

I’m Gabrielle and I live in Lancashire! I have a wonderful husband and daughter and I’ve been involved in the wedding industry for a number of years because my mum owned a wedding dress shop!

2. How did you learn the art of floristry and what inspired it?

I actually taught myself! When my husband and I were getting married, I decided that I wanted to do my own flowers, and I was there the night before my wedding making my bouquet. I actually found it so therapeutic and decided that I wanted to pursue it as a business. Since then I have dressed venues and created various floral creations for weddings and events and I absolutely love it. Being at the flower market is my ultimate happy place :)

3. What is your favourite flower and style?

I think my favourite flower has to be a peonies. I just love the colours that they come in. In terms of style, I actually like them all! I have seen so many wedding and events and I really love them all! As long as the bride or organiser is happy, that’s all that matters to me.

4. How do you use what you do to inspire your daughter?

My daughter is only little yet, but I really hope that she sees how much I enjoy what I do, and I hope it inspires her to know that creativity and beauty is really needed in the world. I think sometimes, people can see the creative industry as a waste of money, but, I really think that creating beautiful things is an art, and can make people feel really special.

5. When it comes to wedding flowers, what are your favourite trends?

I love pampas grass and the use of different kinds of foliage. I also love using plants and trees as decor in a main reception room. Bringing the outside inside is just great!
